Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better

This week's blog post is going to be short and sweet. If you're in a challenging space right now in your career, I want you to know I am in your corner.

I completely get where you are - it's so frustrating to have talent and skill, but not have a way to put them to use for good.

It's hard looking at other folks who appear to be content in their work (many are not, but you can't tell that from the outside).

It can be isolating to feel as if you just don't fit at your job, whether you fully understand why or not. Being truly unhappy at work is one of the most difficult life situations you can face, in part because the stress is so constant. It grates on your nerves all day, every day.

It's also incredibly demoralizing to feel unappreciated at work. If you're in a position where you work as hard as you can, then receive no feedback (or negative feedback), the wind goes right out of your sails. It's hard to find the energy to keep coming to work every day when you've felt this way for very long.

I have been there, and I've worked with many clients who have been there. I am sending you good energy, positive vibes, and all the love and support I can throw your way.

Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better, and if you're in the "getting worse" phase right now, I am hoping that it gets better very soon.

Hang in there!
